Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD is a hardware-encrypted portable SSD designed to protect sensitive data for business professionals, content creators, and organizations that require advanced security. It features an independent color touchscreen that allows users to unlock and manage the drive directly without installing software.
The drive uses FIPS 197-certified XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption and a Common Criteria EAL5+ certified secure microprocessor. Therefore, it helps protect confidential files against unauthorized access, brute-force attacks, and BadUSB threats.
It supports separate Admin and User accounts with configurable password policies, PIN or passphrase authentication, and password recovery options. In addition, the drive can automatically crypto-erase stored data after repeated failed login attempts to enhance security.
